SOMATIC EXPERIENCING

Non-clinical support. Virtual. Worldwide.

At the Integrative Trauma Collective, we go beyond the bounds of traditional talk therapy for healing trauma.

Somatic Experiencing may be right for you if you experience:

  • Panic attacks, chronic anxiety, or hypervigilance

  • Dissociation, shutdown, or emotional numbness

  • Chronic stress or feeling “stuck in survival mode”

  • Difficulty trusting or feeling safe with others

  • Body-based trauma symptoms (startle, pain, tension)

  • Struggles with intimacy, boundaries, or self-expression

  • Trauma that feels “unfinished” even after talk therapy

At ITC, individual therapy blends psychodynamic therapy with somatic practices and mindfulness-based tools. We don’t rush or force you to tell your whole story. Instead, we move at your pace—building trust, safety, and stability before exploring deeper wounds.

Every session is unique, but may include:

  • Grounding through orientation (noticing your environment and senses)

  • Tracking body sensations safely and gently

  • Learning regulation tools to manage triggers

  • Exploring micro-moments of stress and release (titration)

  • Building resilience and capacity for positive states (pendulation)

Your therapist won’t force content or rush the process. Instead, they’ll support you in reconnecting with your body, step by step, until safety and strength feel possible again.
