Dr. Jennifer Arias, Psy.D, LCP
When joy feels distant, when success doesn’t feel like enough, and when connection feels just out of reach — it can be disorienting. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in old relational patterns, or haunted by unresolved pain from family dynamics, cultural expectations, or religious trauma. They may be high achievers — creatives, professionals, caretakers — but underneath it all, they’re exhausted. Tired of carrying so much alone. Tired of not feeling like themselves.
I’m Dr. Jennifer Arias, a bilingual clinical psychologist (Psy.D.) and relational therapist with a passion for helping people reclaim a sense of joy, aliveness, and connection in their lives. I work with individuals, couples, and families across cultural backgrounds and career paths — including professionals in law, healthcare, and academia, as well as first-generation adults navigating bicultural stress and complex family systems.
Whether you’re moving through a life transition, healing after ruptures in relationships, or looking to build deeper intimacy with others (and with yourself), therapy with me is a space to put the pieces together: past wounds, present patterns, and future hopes. Together we’ll explore not just how to cope — but how to grow in ways that feel meaningful to you.
Some areas I specialize in:
Supporting people of color, first-generation adults, and children of immigrants through identity work, belonging, and relational healing
Helping individuals navigate religious trauma, family estrangement, and parent wounds
Strengthening communication and relational skills in couples and families, particularly for those feeling stuck in reactive cycles
Treating anxiety, depression, and burnout through a trauma-informed, emotionally attuned approach
Helping creatives go deeper in their gifts and work through barriers to get to the next stage in their craft
I integrate EMDR and DBT with culturally sensitive, relational therapy. I believe healing happens not just through insight, but through connection, safety, and learning how to be fully present with ourselves and others again.
I don’t believe your pain means something is wrong with you. Often, it’s a sign of what’s been missing—safety, connection, joy. I’m here to help you find your way back to yourself, in all your complexity and strength.
Healing begins when we make space for your truth. Let’s begin there.
