Do you feel stuck in patterns you can’t explain, haunted by invisible wounds that never seem to heal? Have you experienced a deep sense of disconnection from your body, your past, or the people around you? Maybe you grew up with emotional neglect or trauma, and now find yourself struggling with anxiety, trust, or the sense that something is deeply wrong inside—even if no one else can see it. These are the hidden burdens I help people heal every day.
Hello, I’m Dr. Nick - a Doctor of Clinical Psychology and trauma expert with a passion for helping people heal from the worst experiences of their life through a holistic and gentle approach. My background includes treating trauma in high-intensity settings—from correctional facilities and hospitals to crisis units—giving me a steady hand when the pain feels too big, too overwhelming, or too chaotic to share.
I know every trauma is unique, which is why I tailor the healing process to each person I work with. I integrate somatic experiencing, psychodynamic insight, and trauma-informed mindfulness to help you come home to yourself—gently and at your own pace. Together, we listen to the wisdom of your body, untangle early wounds, and build safety in relationships that once felt impossible.
I specialize in sexual trauma, which I began working with in 2012. I have a deep passion for helping people heal the invisible wounds that are left when someone violates us on such a personal level. Sexual trauma can leave us feeling trapped, isolated, and helpless. Many of us feel broken and unable to trust others after sexual trauma, which makes healing feel out of reach.
I also specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ clients, first-generation individuals navigating cultural trauma, and people living with neurodiversity or chronic suicidal thoughts—each holding their own pain story shaped by marginalization, silence, or survival.
My doctoral research explored how people psychologically respond to traumatic crime scenes, including the development of PTSD and depression. I’ve also presented nationally on nightmares related to sexual trauma and evidence-based ways to address them, along with my research on traumatic crime scenes.
Additional experiences I support include:
Healing early childhood trauma, including emotional neglect, abuse, or parental abandonment
Difficulties with connection, intimacy, or emotional expression
Intergenerational trauma, especially for BIPOC and first-generation clients
Chronic suicidal thoughts or self-harm
The impact of marginalization, identity conflict, or complex PTSD
If any part of this resonates, I invite you to reach out. Healing may not happen all at once, but you don’t have to carry this alone.
Healing doesn’t begin with answers—it begins with being seen.
